Intergraphics History

Intergraphics, a history of audacity

« A forward thinker, restless inventor, an aggressive individual always looking for opportunities » are some of the ways people describe Conrad Desender, the founder and past owner of Intergraphics, a label and decal printing company in the St. Boniface Industrial Park.

Conrad started Intergraphics with his wife, Yvonne, in 1969. They began with a homemade graphics press, no staff, and little experience in operating a business. But they did have a great deal of ambition, excitement and a desire to succeed.

Conrad was born in Belgium and was introduced to screen printing technology as a teenager while working at the local print shop. At the time of starting his own business he had accumulated 13 years of experience. Yvonne worked at a bank for six years prior to opening the business with her husband. After opening they initially focused their business model on POP and poster printing.

Conrad took a chance after just two years and switched the focus of the business to the manufacturing of decals. It was a smart and lucrative move that Conrad considers the most far reaching and important event in the history of the company.

Acquired in 2021 by Canva Group, Intergraphics is now serviced by over 80 employees who work in a 45,000 square foot facility, our goal is creating impact for our clients.
