Mirazed History

Mirazed, the perfect union of commercial
and industrial identification

Mirazed was born of the merger of Mirabau and Azed Communications in Valcourt in 1997, under the management of Claude St-Martin.

Azed Communications, then chaired by Yves Poisson, offered a wide range of advertising products, while Mirabau specialized in screen printing. The association of these two companies would be the beginning of a great ascension in industrial and commercial identification.

From the outset, Mirazed established a trusting relationship with the region’s largest manufacturer and became the supplier of BRP vehicle identification stickers.

In addition to making its mark in industrial identification, Mirazed worked with artists such as Tex Lecor and Vittorio Fiorucci to reproduce their work in silkscreen.

In 2008, Mirazed was operating exclusively in screen printing, and digital printing was on the rise. Thus, Mirazed acquired Grand Format, the leader in digital printing in Montreal.

From 2008 to 2011, despite the recession, Mirazed continued to expand its operations, acquiring SSP in Brossard. In 2012, all businesses were consolidated in St-Hubert in a 61,000 sq. ft. building, only to expand operations in 2018 to 80,000 sq. ft.

Canva Group acquired Mirazed in 2019, and investments continued with new ultra-fast digital presses, including the famous robotized Fuji X3.

A leader in Quebec with 150 employees, Mirazed was the first Canva Group business unit to cover the commercial sector. Its national accounts include Loblaw, Labatt, Jean Coutu, Astral, Rona, and more. Its industrial customer base is equally impressive, with key players such as BRP, Princecraft, Michelin, Triotech, and others.
